Located in a historic small village, this two storey house is about 110
years old. The spacious accommodation comprises: three bedrooms each
with a double bed; bathroom with shower and bidet; two separate WCs,
one upstairs, one downstairs; living room; eat-in kitchen; ‘snug’; large
garage/barn; and a sunny, paved, south facing terrace off the kitchen and
living room. There's a big chimney-style barbecue on the terrace.
The back of the house, and the terrace, enjoy views of rolling countryside and vineyards.
The furnishings are basic, but more than adequate for most holidays. The facilities comprise: electric kettle; cooker; two fridges; microwave; food processor; TV (equipped to receive many British satellite channels, including BBC and ITV); DVD player; CD/cassette/radio; automatic washing machine; ironing board and iron; four pedestal fans; hair dryer; vacuum cleaner; wood burning stove in the hall; open fire in the snug; portable gas heater; electric convector heaters in most of the other rooms; and tables, parasols and chairs for the terrace.
There's stuff you can take to the beach: sun beds, parasols, picnic rucksack, cool bags, etc. There are four bicycles of various sizes and types.
This part of France boasts the best climate in the country, and therefore heating is not normally required between April and October. However, there is an ample supply of firewood in the garage for out-of-season visitors.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are not provided but there are pillows and duvets. A top sheet is useful in summer when it is usually too hot to need a duvet.
